Summer time is always a time for making jam in my family.
This year my sister has a plum tree, so on Sunday her and I made some plum jam. We used her plums and we followed the recipe on the package of pectin. But just regular plum jam would be boring... so we add 2 teaspoons of ginger and cinnamon to spice things up a bit.
But we cooked it for a little to long, and it set before we could turn them right side up. So there is a big gap at the bottom. It might not be the prettiest but it sure tastes good.
One of our favorite things to do with Jam is put to over cottage cheese.
All you do is get a bowl, put a wallop of cottage cheese, then a smaller wallop of plum jam on top, and enjoy! It is so good!!!
